The Jack Danwich

Mama Sita's Mama Sita was in town one day so we went for a visit.  Mama Sita's house smelled so good I wanted to spend the rest of my life there.  She said the incredible aroma was coming from something she threw together for dinner in her crock pot.  I call this the Jack Danwich. It's totally man food but nothing a girl can't handle.  Be Ford Tough and make this recipe from Mama Sita.
Here are the players.  Brown sugar, Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce and boneless skinless chicken breasts.  See, no biggie.  Mama Sita keeps everything simple.  Kiss her the next time you see her and thank her.  The best dinner is an easy dinner.  Here we go....
Cut up the chicken breaks in small pieces so they will cook better.
Quarter them.
And quarter them again until you have one big pile o' chicken.
Enter crock pot.  Enter very vintage very 80's crock pot.  Enter the only crock pot I have.  Turn your crock pot on a low setting.
Throw yur chicken in there.  Don't feel bad.  He won't feel a thing.  He's dead.
Next: pour this entire 15 oz bottle of glory into the pot.  All over the chicken.
Oh soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There's light for a look at the Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce,
And life more abundant and free!
Turn your eyes upon this peeps!
And lick the spoon as soon as you can.  Don't tell my My Aunt Helen.  She will NEVER eat any food that cometh forth from my house.
Next: 1 cup of brown sugar.  Pour it right on top of the chicken and let it copasquat.  Then stand there and watch it melt into the mix which stirs the passions.
Hello young lovers, whoever you are,
I hope your troubles are few,
All my good wishes are with you tonight, I've been in love like you.  Name that film.  My mother watched that movie what seemed like every single stinkin' day of my childhood.
Cover it.  Low setting.  It needs to copasquat for eight hours.  Like my lid?
Serve the burley man food on a roll cut in half.
Mama Sita says any rolls will do.  Whatever your fancy is.
Cut em' in half and get ready to serve.
Now, if your my Decorating Mom, you'll lay your rolls to rest on a beautiful platter.
And not just any platter.
A Haviland platter.  Haviland is a good thing.
When in the thrift stores, turn the plate over and look.  If there's one thing my mom departed to me, its the knowledge of knowing a plate worth having.
And if you're my mom you'll find another plate worth having and place your cheese on it.
She's sick.
Totally and utterly sick.
And it's made me a plate snob.  "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."  Proverbs 22:6
Eight hours later, go to the crock pot and roll away the stone (lid).
And discover that God is truly who He says He is.
A Risen Savior.  The Captive's Ransome.  The Bread of Life.  The Creator of this goodness.
Spoon the chicken out of there leaving most of the sauce in the pot.
You need to shred the chicken next.
Your maternal instincts will start to quiver as the chicken looks alone, cold and lost without its saucy companion.
But hang in there.

Just focus on the smell coming up from the steam from the bottom of goodness.
Watch the drip.  I love the drip.  It's a sign of a yummy dish.  Wear an apron.
Shred it up.  I used two forks.
I put lots of pepper on it.  Season it however you like.

Put the shredded chicken in the sauce again.
Stir.
Feel your mouth water.
If you feel multiple sets of eyes looking at you...
they are.
Grab a plate.  Open the roll.  Throw on the cheese...
Spoon on the glory.
Breathe.
Cover.
Squish.
Feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
Remember to make one for your man.
After you finish yours.
You'll need these.
I delivered this dinner to my husband one night he worked late.  I dropped everything off, kissed him good bye and left the building.  As I was unlocking my car, I heard footsteps coming up behind me.  It was him.  My stud.  I turned around flipping my hair in the moonlight.  He wrapped me in his arms and said, "thanks for the dinner".  And then he kissed me.  It was a good one.  I wish you the same song in your head that I drove all the way home with:

It’s the way you love me
It’s a feeling like this
It’s centrifugal motion
It’s perpetual bliss

It’s that pivotal moment
It’s impossible
This kiss, this kiss (Unstoppable)
This kiss, this kiss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
